Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted on my vox blog. I hope that all had a very merry Christmas. I sure did. I had lots of fun visiting with family and friends.
Today was an earth shake. It was really neat (for me anyway). Probably because I was far enough away from the epicenter that it wasn't very violent. It was cool. Now I want to make a disaster kit though, cause I don't want to be cause unawares.
Happy Birthday America!
I am quite sad because I didn't get to see any fireworks... However, I did enjoy a nice dinner and time in the spa with my hubby and Andrew and Kim.
On Thursday we just got home from our vacation in South Carolina. We flew out of LAX on Friday night at almost 11 PM. We got to see the sun rise on the plane. It was pretty cool. For any of you who know me, you know that I do not like being stuck in an airplane. I did pretty well. I was anxious for the first half of the flight while we watched The Matrix, but once that was done I put on my ipod and escaped into my own little world for a while.
We got in at 6:30 am in Charlotte, NC. We were picked up and taken to my cousin's house. We went mainly because my cousin Kara Beth was getting hitched. We hung out and napped before the wedding. The wedding was super beautiful. They had 10 attendants each plus a flower girl and ring bearer. There were probably 350+ people there. HUGE! We were way under dressed. Someone (I am not sure who) came up to us at the reception and said "You must be the visitors from California" in a total southern drawl. Then he leans down to his granddaughter and says "Guess where these people are from". It was totally rude but extremely funny at the same time.
After the wedding we stayed at our friends, Jerem and Terra's house. It was pretty cool. They were super awesome hosts, and fed us home cooked meals the whole time we were there. We got to view some pretty neat places, a dairy barn which had goats, cows, horses and donkeys, a golf-course community where you can buy a plot of land and build a custom home for $800,000 and up, Lake Wiley and the city of Charlotte.
I am glad to be home, I missed my kittens. It was a good week away from work though :) I am dreading Monday.
Jonathan and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary this weekend and so we decided to go the the aquarium today. Neither of us had ever been. It was pretty cool. We got to see all sorts of sea life and all of it lives in the pacific ocean. I think the coolest animals there visually were the jelly fish and the weedy sea dragons. I also really enjoyed touching the sting rays, feeding the Lorikeets and watching the sea otters swim. We were only there for around 2 hours, but we got to see and enjoy everything. It was pretty busy, but we managed to see all of the things we wanted to. It was a good trip and I would enjoy going again.
If you're getting one, how are you planning on spending your tax refund?
We have already received are tax return because we filed our taxes as soon as we received our W2s. We bought ourselves iPhones and we put $1000 toward our emergency fund for our Total Money Makeover. With the Economic Stimulus that we are getting this summer we are going to continue to pay off our credit cards and put money in our house savings.

and April 30 is the due date for my Nephew Ethan. Plus I know some other people that have birthdays, like a friend's dad's birthday is April 5th or 6th, a friend from high school's is April 5th, a friend from grade school's is April 2, a friend's Aunts is the same as mine, a family friends is April 15th and that is about all that I can think of right now. If I know you and your birthday is in April and I have forgotten it, I apologize, but as you can tell I have so many to remember. I also have my Aunt Nanette's and Grandma Joyce's birthday's on March 30, which might as well be part of the bunch. We have to save up for April Birthday's like it's Christmas or something :) I should start a club.
In my opinion easter should not fall in March. I only like when it comes in April. I was not prepared for it at all. I didn't get any of my decorations out, I didn't color my eggs, I didn't text message any one "Happy Easter", I really didn't get to do any of the things that I wanted to do for it. It is quite sad, because Easter is one of my favorite holidays. For everyone who was missing my usual text, Happy Easter! and I love you!
I know I am a few minutes late, but I was working on those darn videos until 12. However, I am DONE with them. I finished the voice recording today. Hopefully there won't be many edits that I am required to make cause I have had enough of those videos! Tomorrow night I am going to do what I want to do with my time. I think I am going to spend that time playing Sims 2. I just got the Free Time expansion pack and haven't really had much of a chance to play with it (however, Sunday morning, after I finished working on my videos Saturday night, I played from 1:00 am to 5:00 am :)).
P.S. To every one that I texted "Happy St. Patrick's Day" to and didn't respond (which is everyone reading this blog) you suck!
